Given to Stephan's Group - Or to Bishop Stephan?

One chalice was a personal gift to Bishop Stephan. This is the one Walther used at the congregation that his brother vacated (by death).

Things happened fast. Walther organized the mob against Stephan. Next came the Altenburg Debate. Then C.F.W. accepted the call extended by his late brother's congregation.

Some photos of Historic Trinity in St. Louis are here.

The Stephanites were communing from a chalice looted from the RCC by the secular Napoleon, and then later looted from the Stephan family. Perfect! Of course, when one believes in UOJ, all sorts of contradictions like that are allowable, and one still has the perfect assurance of forgiveness of sins.

In the news today the pastor and found of a Perfecting Church finds himself frequently on the wrong side of the law of the land:

Winans is an internationally known Grammy-winning singer who founded the Perfecting Church in Detroit and delivered the eulogy at pop star Whitney Houston's funeral....

The Rev. Marvin Winans had a warrant out for his arrest on driving-related offenses....

Winans has been ticketed 11 times since 2009, including for speeding and disobeying a traffic signal. He has had four other license suspensions for not paying fees dating to 2006, according to state records.
